Brenda Davis (left)  is a leader in her field, an esteemed and very popular speaker, a member of the Vegetarian Hall of Fame, and a past chairperson of the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association). She lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, Paul.

Vesanto Melina (right) is a sought-after speaker and personal consultant; she has taught nutrition at the University of British Columbia and Bastyr University in Seattle and is consultant to the government of B.C. She is lead author of the latest position paper on vegetarian diets for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is recipient of the prestigious Ryley Jeffs Award from Dietitians of Canada.
